    Talking Voice Chat Cuts out Intermittently

    Hello everyone,

    I've been playing TTS for quite awhile and appreciate many of the added features, enhancements and mods. I really enjoy being able to teach and learn new games. Most of the games I play are much easier to teach or converse using voice chat. Until a couple of major releases ago (not sure exactly when, probably about 3-4 months back) that changed voice chat platforms, I had very few issues with voice chat. But now every game I play seems to have periods of time where one player can't be heard by one or more other players at the table. You can see their push to talk icon appearing, but there's no sound. It resolves itself after a bit, then will happen again later.

    I haven't found any rhyme or reason to these cutouts. I know it happens when I host. I am not 100% certain that it happens when another hosts, but I believe that to be the case.

    I'm using PC Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Steam (last updated 12/15/17) and my TTS version is 10.2

    I have a high-end system with a fast upload and download speed (150/150Mbps), so I doubt it's a latency issue. Most people appreciate when I host since their ping is typically very good.

    I tried setting my microphone manually in the Configuration - Sound tab, but the only listed option there is <Default>.

    What else can I try? I don't see this as a known issue, so can only assume it's something on my end.

    If possible when your mic isn't working in game can you upload some logs and I will have a quick look at it

    Thank you! Very helpful. I've rebooted and verified the game cache integrity for TTS. I posted the logs I have last modified 12/23/17 here: [url]https://pastebin.com/rRLf2MWq[/url] (it appears to fit within the size limit).     Let me know if it has any useful data. If not, I can enable logging and host a voice chat test session game today.

    Hi Kelson,

    Had a look at the log file, didn't see anything that would cause in issue with voice chat to my knowledge. Try run a log session and upload the logs when the mic stops working.

    Also just as a trial try use /resetallsaved in chat to reset all settings... It may not fix the issue but it's worth running over all our options so the devs can quickly identify the issue. (Keep in mind this sets all settings & keybindings)

    In the windows audio settings I'm assuming your microphone is set as the default communications device by clicking on both of these optios ([url]https://gyazo.com/4f9622e8069ee337d5d61d56b635e2a0[/url])

    For Playback and Recording, my headset is set as the Default Device in Windows, yes. I did the /resetallsaved and /log and then hosted a session last night. I was told my mic cut out several times during that session. I didn't notice anyone else cutting out, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I'm uploading my logs now. Thank you!

    No worries at all, Abarden! I really appreciate your help.

    Any other ideas? Any developer feedback? This issue has been occurring for a couple of months now.
