Pinging over unlocked objects deletes them

Hi,

Since the latest patch on Steam, whenever I ping (using the tab key) above an unlocked item, the item gets deleted. This happens even when I'm not a promoted player.
I'll try to collect more detailed information during the week, what would help to debug something like this?
