Error steam read from workshop - data sent by steam is empty

I have just bought and installed the game.
When I open the game first time I get this error
Error Steam read from Workshop : k_EResultFileNotFound (8316287120304214212)

Then I subscribe to some mod and it does not appear in the workshop menu and the following error appears:
Error Steam Read download: k_EResultTimeout
Workshop D&D 5th Basic Template Setup data sent by Steam is empty

This happens for any of the 15+ mods I have tried.
I have checked the files. Changed the files location. Reinstalled the game (including unsubscribe from everything and delete all game folders)

I have seen some people post similar issues and remain unsolved and never been addressed by any dev. I hope there is a solution and I don't have to refund.

I am having the same issues. I have tried several things and still nothing.

I found some info in old posts that when you subscribe to a mod a certain .json file is downloaded for it. That file is not being created in my pc, can't figure out why. (there is also a .png file that does appear in my folders)
I also found more posts about this (never answered by the devs), and it is very strange that a lot of them are new, for people that have been playing long time with no problems, and suddenly this starts to happen to them.
